Show starts at 7:30pm. Within the first week of their debut album release in April 2011, “I Wanna Be In A Band,” Lovestruck Robot beat out more than 300 bands and won the Florida Grammy Showcase the opening night of the 2011 Florida Music Festival & Conference. The band received positive feedback from program directors, distribution contacts, music industry experts, and the general public. Since then, this Orlando based band’s following has grown in both physical and online presence and continues to have a solid following. Some industry personnel have described the band’s sound as a collaboration of Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, and Lenny Kravitz. Lovestruck Robot shot a music video for the title track, “I Wanna Be In a Band.” The video is a tongue-in-cheek description of the stereotype musicians often have and how they are treated before and after “making it big.” Singer/Songwriter and front man, Jace Magee, has toured the U.S. as the opening act for Hall & Oates and is from Moore, Oklahoma. In 2002 he moved to Orlando to pursue his musical dreams.
